First of all,every time I read these battles about religion it's always the religious that start it. Preaching about religion is about as productive as beating your head against a wall. Telling people they are stupid or ignorant because they don't believe in God, or don't know what to believe is ignorant in itself. Not everybody is going to have the same out look on life, and who are any of you Bible followers to judge them? You say evloution is wrong and founded by men to disprove God. Have you ever stopped to realize that your Bible was written by MEN hundreds of years ago? Or that it was created as a tool to give the church power over it's people? Power that was rarely used in its peoples favor. There are people dying to protect our nations right to embrace or deny your God. Something I'm willing to bet not many of you are willing to do yourselves. Why risk your life for a perfect strangers rights? Why not just sit back and let someone else fight for mine? We have the right to believe in whatever we want, if someone wants to believe that a monkey is our God, who are you to try and deny them their right to believe it because it goes against your Bible?
Human evolution hasn't been happening for many years. It started with the industrial revolution, tools and machines doing the work for us. Follow that up with the fact that we change our envirnment to suit our needs as opposed to the people best suited for the environment surviving. Add all that up plus the fact that we coddle the weak in our society.

This argument that has started here though is really ridiculous. Debating ackomplishes nothing. We believe what we believe and while yes, it is nice to share what we think with others turning it into a fight just doesn't work.
The fact is we all live. And no matter how we think we got here or where we are going when we die we all are still living, here, now, together. So I think that life should be lived as best as it can be and we should respect others and what they have to say, wven if we feel differently. I myself am not a Christian, nor do I subscribe to one of the major belief systems.

I think there is a God. The Bible says through him all things are possible. Growing up my parents never took me to Church. I found God all by myself! He is great! People need to lighten up ;> Leave each other in it's values, don't try to make the non-believers believe and don't try to make the believers stop believing. It won't work. Wars have been fought with and without faith, sometimes the believe in a higher power gave them the advantage, other times it got them slaughtered.
And besides, if you are right and there is a god, why care for those who don't believe? And on the other hand, a eternity in hell does not sound long when your dead. You won't have a knowledge of time either way.

‘Believers’: I know you fell it is your duty to save everyone. I know, you fell as if that is your calling. But guess what? The best teacher is example. DO you know the main reason I hear that people don’t want to ‘come over to our side’? Most often it’s becaus they see people like us preach and preach and then turn around and act completely different then Jesus did. So um, why don’t we save ourselves first. Then it will make it ten times easier to save others. REMEMBER: FAITH WITHOUT WORKD IS DEAD
‘Non-believers’: I know what it feels like to try and be fed something every where you turn. It’s not that great. But hey i can’t really speak from your piont of veiw because I’ve never been there. But I will tell you this: alot of people just want to share their joy. And some feel sorry for you. And some are snobs. So don;t know if that makes seeing it every where you go easier. I’m not apologizing for my faith, nor for Christians. I feel sorry for most of you and I want to share my joy and in alot of things I am a snob. But you know…same with you.
We’re all humans whether you think we evolved from germs or if you believe we were created. I KNOW what is true and right, but what then, whats the point if you know and don’t do it right?
So lets have some tolerance and kindness and yes openness, towards everything. Beleiving in God is not being narrow minded. You people who immediately dismiss it as such are narrow minded. Evolution is not true but it has some very true peiced of imformation. Everything I see just convinces me more that what i believe in is true. As it does for most others, no matter what you believe in. That’s just how it is. Take a chance and forgive.
I think i speak for all agnostics when i say we dont care. if you believe in god have fun with that. but we dont and i dont know about the rest but my life is filled to the brim with the joy of life and all it has to offer. I believe in myself and my ability to make this world a better place, and that in my opinion is all that matters. So religion can go suck it because it is really not needed.

If not believing in the Christian god gets you in Hell, wouldn’t that mean more people will be in Hell than not? And what about people who were never exposed to Christianity in the first place?
And just shut up about it, you’re not going to change anyone’s minds about religion. I don’t care if you’re Christian or Jewish or Hindu, as long as you don’t rub it in other’s faces and try to convert them to your religion and basically BRAG about it.
Yes you are right religion is not needed but Our lord and Savior Christ Jesus is needed. You can say that your life is filled to the brim with joy, but your joy will only last for a short time. The word of the lord says All who drink of this water will be thirsty again(This is the water that you are drinking). But whoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, by thirsty anymore. So you can think that you have all that you need right now, just try this water that your creater is talking about and then compare your life before and after. i garuntee this, that you will not go back to your previous way of belief.

Believing in somethng doesn’t make it true….
Mankind once belived the world was flat…it was proven wrong.
Mankind once believed the earth was the center of the universe…that too was proven wrong.
The sensible thing to do is see the facts for what they without distorting them with “belief” or denying a fact because it contradicts your “beliefs”…..
Live for the moment, smile and enjoy life! Don’t waste energy trying to convince others that you’re “right”….you may not be. It really doesn’t matter anyway, because in the end, when we die, we all go to the same place…..out of the body and on to the next thing….whatever that may be.

Commenter #25, you do not know anything about religous starting these battles. If you look at the beginning of these comments it was #2 who said something that got every one fired up. So, just shut up everyone! Let everyone beleive in what they be,eive in and if you find it offensive to you or your religion just keep it to yourself and let everyone move on! Where does this get us anyway, its not like Judge Judy is going to settle this for us. And i am a christian too and i personally think everyone should beleive in something because it gives you HOPE. But i do not care if you do not beleive in this because it will not stop me or any other Christians beleiving in what we believe in. And i hope that every one of you who do not have anyone or anything to believe in will find it someday.
